Privacy
Webby Directory is run by My Webby. This page says what the directory shows and keeps.
What we show about a business
What the business has told us or given us to check: its name, contact details, prices, the postcode areas it covers, its accreditations and insurance, its work and its customers' reviews. Some listings come from public business records and have not been claimed by the business yet. Those are marked, and show only what those records held, such as the name, trade, town, phone number and website.
We show where a business is by its postcode area, such as NR2, unless it has asked us to show its full address. Photos of work show the postcode area only.
Reviews
Reviews are left by customers through My Webby. We show the reviewer's first name and initial only, and our team reads every review before it shows here. We never copy reviews from Google.
When you visit
Browsing the directory sets no cookies. Forms (claiming a listing, asking for one to be removed) use one session cookie to keep the form safe, which ends when you close your browser. Our servers keep a short record of requests to stop misuse, with your IP address scrambled so it cannot be read back.
Getting a listing removed or changed
Every listing has a link at the bottom to ask us to remove it. Once removed, we do not add it again. A business can claim its listing to change its details.
